Jenny and Carly|| We’re Used To Be Best Friend

carlyelizabethwoods:

“I’d love to get lunch, I’ll just have to grab Frannie to take over the shop for a bit.” Frannie was Carly’s favourite employee, the girl was the only one who actually had a passion for flowers. “One sec.” She added before turning on her feels and zipping around the counter to the back of the shop. Carly informed Frannie of the situation before returning back to Jenny. “And a new job you say? What happened to your old one? A councillor or something, right?” She asked the girl before stepping beside her guiding her out of her beloved flower shop. It felt better noting having Jenny in there. It felt like she was contaminating one of her sacred places. The woman didn’t belong in there or in Carly’s life period. But alas, she knew that it was better to keep your enemies close. And that was what she fully intended on doing. If she kept the woman as a friend it would keep her away from Josh. And Josh was someone she couldn’t loose, no matter what.

As they walked away from the shop, they kept in step together. It was strange for Carly to be around Jenny again. It was like stepping into an unwanted dream of some sort. She wondered how long she’d have to keep the façade going. Until after the wedding? As much as she didn’t want Jenny at her wedding, she had to face the facts that she was most likely going to be there. “What sort of food do you feel like having?” Tilting her head away from the bright sunlight she looked at Jenny. Hoping she’d say some sort of food that Carly would eat. It wasn’t that she was a picky eater, she just had strong opinions on many restaurants.

“Well, my grandfather asked Dan, my brother moving to New Orleans. He’s my only reason to work there. Now he wasn’t in St. Jude’s so I quit,” Jenny could feel that his friend tried to get away. She did not want to have a bad feeling but Carly was very strange. What does that mean? She met with Josh, she did not want to repeat the past, or rather remember it. She never forget Josh, a fact he did not get over it. He continued to feel guilty and hate herself. But Josh as if not knowing what had happened to herself.

Jenny pressed jeans jacket he was wearing, even though New York’ weather was  getting better each day,  Jenny still liked to wear her jacket. She looked around them, ”why do not we eat pizza?” She asked. She was very happy to finally get to spending time with her friends. Jenny was really looking forward to time like this. They entered a pizza restaurant that serving pizza and pasta as a main menu. She opened the  menu, ”then what about Josh?Does he still like to cook?” Jenny asked the blonde casually, although she also felt anxious, mentioning Josh’s name. She tried for not being weird in front of her.

Jenny and Carly|| We’re Used To Be Best Friend

carlyelizabethwoods:

Carly smiled at a young customer who she helped find the best flowers to give to his new girlfriend. He was a sweetie. She leaned on the counter, her elbows resting on it with her chin in her hands. He had decided on a small arrangement of lilacs. Carly had chosen the flower for him, seeing as it meant first love. She thought it’d be fitting for the occasion, plus he said that she loved purple. Carly laughed lightly, at his quirky comments. She loved this job, it was her second favourite thing in the world, behind Josh. She loved to be surrounding by the sweet and fresh smelling flowers. She didn’t mind if it got chaotic sometimes, she just powered through it with a smile on her face, after all, it did make her happy. Flowers were what she loved to handle, she knew everything there was to know about them. It was a slow paced day, not many customers and Norman hadn’t ordered any shipments recently. She was glad. She wasn’t in the mood for a day of running around.

After waving the young man off she noticed Jenny. The woman was standing in the middle of her shop with a coffee in her hand looking around the shop. Carly wasn’t sure how she felt about that, seeing as she had a strong distaste for her. Jenny was just going to bring more complications into her life, but she had to pretend to care for her. Even though there are had been a time where Jenny was truly her best friend, it was long gone. Carly was sure that if Josh wasn’t in the picture she and Jenny would still be close. So now that he is there was no turning back and she didn’t want to remove Josh from her life. “Jenny!” Carly greeted her with her best smile, “Hey. It’s so nice to see you, you think so? Thanks. I’m glad.” She stepped in front of the counter, leaning back onto it, glancing over at a large display of sunflowers, placing her fingers over the petals.

Jenny always thought Carly as her own sister. She loved her and their friendship is worth something. She still remembered when they were both new girls at Constance, Jenny recently moved to New York. Then she met with Josh, her first love. Then parents had an accident and Jenny knew that she was pregnant, as result her relationship with Josh. She knew just then, her best friend and Josh soon to be married. Now she know Carly and Josh are getting married. She waited for Josh that night but he never came, that’s what makes an abortion. But She should’ve forgotten it all.

“Yes, I’m looking for a job and I make a quick stop to buy coffee. Why did not I stop by to see this beautiful shop?” he said with warm smile. She drank her coffee, she knew Carly was always fond of flowers. Jenny always wanted to be a writer but it stopped when she graduated from Berkeley and started her model career that lasted a very short time. Jenny looked this room filled with beautiful flowers, “oh yes, do you want  join me for lunch?” Jenny asked the blonde. Even though Carly has a relationship with Josh, doesn’t mean they should stop being friends isn’t it? Whatever happened had she considered the past.

Jenny and Carly|| We’re Used To Be Best Friend

Jenny looked at the ads that she put a few days ago in the newspaper. She decided to stop working at Constance’s and St. Jude’s, because their pay is not very good for her and Dan also not studying there anymore. She hoped to find a friend to stay in her apartment, her grandfather would probably help with her finances but she did want to be independent. After all he was relieved, her grandfather chose to “force” her brother lived in New Orleans rather than move him to London. Ben even offered to help her, but Jenny refused because he just wants to be independent. Jenny entered Starbucks.

“Caramel machiato, tall, please,”she said to the barista. Jenny has now been used to drink coffee every morning. Imagine her memory when she met Carly, her best friend when she was a teenager, a few days back. After paying her coffee, Jenny getting ready to go to Carly’s flower shop . She missed her best friend, but she also felt something Carly hide from her. Jenny stopped when she was at her best friend’s  flower shop. She entered the room, surrounded by beautiful flowers, she saw Carly was serving buyers. Afterher buyer left, she smiling at her friend . “Hi, your shop is really cool,” he smiled, looked at the whole room.
